How much time do I have to complete my subject?

You can complete 1 subject in a minimum of 4 weeks (conditions apply) or a maximum of 12 weeks.

Can I finish earlier than the recommended timeframe?

Yes. If you complete a subject early, you don’t have to wait until the end of the 12 weeks to begin your next one — you can enroll in a new subject at the next intake.

What happens if I need longer to finish my subject?

Flex allows you the full 12-week period to complete your subject.

How many subjects can I study at one time?

You can be enrolled in up to three subjects at any one time. Because Flex has intakes every five weeks, you may overlap subjects depending on your study plan - but the maximum is three.

When can I submit assignments?

You can submit your assessments as soon as you’re ready, provided you meet the minimum one-week gap between submissions.

Are there penalties for late submissions in Flex Path?

As long as you submit within the 12-week study period, there are no late penalties. If you meet the assessment extension criteria you can apply no less than 3 calendar days, before the end of the 12th week, as the final assessment is the only one with a nominal ‘due date’

How will my assessments be graded if I submit early or late?

Assessments are marked according to the same academic standards, regardless of when you submit within the study period. Early submission won’t affect your grade - but it may allow you to move on to your next subject sooner. Assessments will be graded within 48 hours (working days) of submission.

Remember that you must allow a minimum of one-week gap between submissions.

How many times can I submit an assessment?

As there are no due dates, you can only submit an assessment once in MyLearn.

Your assessment will be graded within 48hrs of being lodged.

Oops, I made a mistake and submitted the wrong assessment. What do I do?

You will only have one attempt at submitting your assessment so please be careful.

How do I enrol in the Flex terms?

Enrolment in your next flex term will take place in your Student Portal.

1.  Log in to your Student Portal.
2.  Click 'Subject Selection'.
3.  Click 'Register for Classes'.
4.  Select the 'Study Period' from the drop-down box.
5.  Select the subject you want to enrol into, select the class time that suits you, then click 'add'. 

Does Flex Path affect my tuition fees or payment schedule?

No. The same payment terms and key dates apply.

You can view these in the Key Dates section on this page.  Each study period commencing every 5 weeks, has its own key dates including, start date, census date, academic withdrawal and end date etc.

Will this model impact my eligibility for FEE-HELP?

No. Flex Path students remain eligible for FEE-HELP and other financial support, provided you meet the standard eligibility criteria.

Does the Flex model count towards my degree the same as other courses?

Yes. MBA Flex is a fully accredited Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Do I have a fixed start date for my course?

Yes. You have a fixed start date for your course - the date you commence your first study period. This will be outlined in your Letter of Offer.

Do I have a fixed end date for my course?

The end date (or date that you complete all of the subjects required for your course) will depend on how quickly you progress through each subject.

Will Flex Path affect my graduation timeline?

Potentially, you could graduate sooner if you accelerate your study. Once you have successfully completed all subjects and met your course requirements, you will go through the usual results process.

Your graduation will be approved by the Academic Board, and you’ll be able to choose a ceremony date that suits you. For more information, check out the Course Completion and Academic Documents pages.

How do I contact my learning facilitator or support staff?

You can contact your learning facilitator via MyLearn. You also have access to Student Services, Success Coaches, and Academic Skills support through the Student Hub, Library and Centre4Success (requires students to log in to view). 

How often will I receive feedback or progress updates?

You’ll receive feedback after each assessment is marked within 48 hours (working days) of your submission date.

Your learning facilitator may also provide check-ins and guidance throughout your subject to help you stay on track.

What support is available if I fall behind?
