Placements and work-integrated learning (WIL) are an important part of your degree as it helps you bridge theory you learn in the classroom to the workplace. To be timely and successful in securing your placements, it is recommended that you start your research and applications at least one trimester in advance.
To see where WIL or placements sit in your course, check out your course structure or get in contact with your Program Director.
A diverse selection of placement locations can be searched in Careers Connect under the Job Postings tab. Additional WIL and placement resources can be found under the Course menu.
Before you start a placement, you must submit a completed Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Agreement via email (wil@torrens.edu.au).
A member of the WIL Contracts and Support team will contact you and go through the verification process. Please submit your WIL Agreement at least 7-days prior to your intended start date.
Most placement experiences are unpaid, so it's essential a WIL Agreement is signed off by you, your potential Host Organisation and checked by the University so we can cover your insurance during the experience.
Come do your placement with us - the university’s student-led consulting agency and work on projects solving our industry clients’ business issues.
The Social Enterprise Hub delivers consultancy services to our purpose driven & not-for-profit enterprise partners from across Australia & globally.
As a student led consulting agency students get to shape its design, assist in coordination of operations & deliver consultancy projects.
Our consultancy services use the talent of our students under the leadership of an industry expert. In exchange, students gain practical and meaningful industry experience that helps prepare them for their future careers.
Students will need to be enrolled into the designated subject and will gain credit for their placement, focused on their involvement in delivering a team-based consultancy project as the primary basis of assessment.
Projects are conducted within the Trimester over a 12-week period. Eligibility criteria apply
