Sydney campus is evolving – here’s what’s ahead 

Exciting changes are on the way! We’re transforming our Sydney campus experience - relocating our Ultimo Campus students to a refreshed, vibrant space in Surry Hills.

This new location will bring bespoke facilities, a stronger creative community, and a student-first design that reflects the spirit of Billy Blue and Torrens University.

Free library books at the Surry Hills campus 

The Library team is reviewing the physical collection at Surry Hills.  Books no longer required are available free for students and staff.

Drop past the Library on Level 3 and grab some gems for your studies and research ... or find the perfect gift for a friend!  Any books not picked up will be donated or recycled so get in quickly.

Public transport

Plan your trip at Transport NSW.

Buses: Central Station, Foveaux St, Stand F (1 minute walk) or Central Station, Elizabeth St, Stand E (3 minute walk)

Light rail: Central Chalmers (4 minute walk)

Metro : Central Station - (3 minute walk from Exit 4, Elizabeth St)

Opal Concession

To be eligible for Opal concession fares you must:

  • be studying a full-time study load (2 or 3 subjects) and at least one of your classes must be delivered Face-to-Face.
  • have an up-to-date Student Record – NSW residential address, contact details and USI.

Please note that you must a valid Student ID Card at all times when travelling on concession fares. Find out how to apply.

Bike racks

Bike racks are available on campus.

Check the Sydney Cycling map to discover the network of low traffic streets, cycleways and shared paths.

Driving

Driving to campus is not recommended as there is no parking on site and parking can be quite expensive.

Self-care sessions

Meet one-on-one with our Student Care Coordinator to learn and practice techniques that will help you to stay calm and overcome negative self-talk.

Register with our counselling service by completing a CARE form to access up to 6 sessions of either counselling or self-care.
