Online campus information

Need help getting started?

Online learning is different to learning in a classroom, so its important you know the difference between all the online platforms you will use throughout your studies. View Getting Started for everything you need to know about your online learning environment. We've also put together 10 Tips on how to succeed as an online student to help you get started!

Visit a campus

Just because your studying online, doesn't mean you can't visit us on campus. Check where your closest campus is located and pop in to use the Library, register to attend workshops, arrange to meet with your classmates or teachers, ask your Success Coach for help with job interviews or finding placements, or just find a comfy space to study. We get excited when our online students visit!

Have you set up your Office 365 Student Email?

If you haven't set up your Office 365 Student Email yet you might be missing out on some important updates and class announcements so make sure you set it up straight away!

It's also your login to be able to use the Student App, as well as being necessary for the Wi-Fi and printing services if you visit us on Campus.

You should have received an email with login instructions. If you haven't received your login details, please send a request for your Office 365 to Student Serviceswith your name and student ID number.

Requesting a Student ID card

To enable us to produce a student ID card we require you to:

  • Email a high resolution recent passport photo (45mm x 35mm)
  • Provide us with your up to date postal address, name and student ID number

If you have any further queries, please contact the Student Services Team on 1300 575 803.

Online Support

Our expert teams are on hand to help you achieve success in your studies and beyond. Follow the links below and find out more on how you can book time with the team and how they can help:

Online Internet Connection

NBN

  • NBN is the optimal.
  • NBN is capable of a good online experience for our students.

Variable factors for unreliable connections:

  • NBN with busy traffic can impact connection speed.
  • Weather can have some interference.
  • Video calls/live video classes require a lot more internet.
  • Multiple devices streaming high definition (HD) videos at the same time.
  • Note: Those with a good (fast) connection can handle this but not all. Refer below for conducting an internet speed test.

ADSL (fixed or any Broadband)

  • Reliable connection is the key.
  • Stable connection (free of regular dropouts).

Variable factors for unreliable connections:

  • Proximity to tower.
  • Proximity to modem.
  • Wire quality.

Conducting an internet speed test to check stability of connection:

  • A good way to check stability of connection is to use speed tests.
  • Google have one: Type 'internet speed test' > Click 'Run speed test'.
  • Or your ISP (internet service provider) have their own local speed test tools.

Good to note, working from desktop and laptops is also an enhanced experience rather than accessing content and live sessions via a mobile phone.
