The Future Student Onboarding team is here to help new International students.

We will support you with getting started and help set you up on university platforms, as well as introduce you to new student resources.

Getting Started Guide

ESOS compliance for international students

The 'Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework'  applies to the delivery of courses to overseas students who hold an Australian student visa and are studying onshore.

International students must

  • maintain a valid CoE and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the period of studies in Australia
  • advise the University of passport details and any changes to visa status
  • enrol in no more than one-third (33%) of your Higher Education or VET course online
  • if you exceed one-third (33%) of subjects taken online you will need to select on-campus classes
  • enrol in at least one face-to-face subject during a compulsory study period
  • ensure you complete your course within the duration stated in their Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
  • enrol in a full-time course load unless approved for a reduced study load, leave of absence, or compassionate and compelling circumstances, and,
  • abide by the conditions of your student visa

TULC/ELICOS students must undertake a minimum of 20 hours face-to-face scheduled classes per week.
