Fitzroy Student Hub: Success coaches

Success Coaching: career advice from day one

Every new student is allocated a Success Coach, who stays with you for the duration of your study. Your Coach understands your course, your industry and your profession, and is there to give you expert advice on securing the right job.

Your Success Coach will:

  • Track your career goals and milestones
  • Get you job-fit, making sure you have the right documents (resume, cover letter) and online profile (LinkedIn, Careers Connect) to land you the job
  • Connect you with the right people, within the uni and within your industry
  • Identify your strengths using the Gallup StrengthsQuest Survey
  • Keep you on track with the right subjects each study period
  • Help you find the right placement, and land the right job

Each Success Coach is a qualified professional, handpicked from the relevant industry, designed to give you the edge on success in your chosen career.

How do I know who my Success Coach is?

Check your inbox in Week 1 to find out who will be coaching you.

Your Coach will contact you, whether you’re on campus or online. If you want to find out in advance, or have more questions, your Student Services team can help.

Note: If you are studying the Diploma of Nursing, your Success Coach is your Program Coordinator

When can I meet my Coach?

Regardless of your study mode, you can choose a coaching option that suits you – online, on campus or some of each. Our coaches are also available after hours, just let your Coach know when you’d prefer to meet.

Giving you the edge
