"At Torrens University Australia we have an amazing club named Toastmasters@Torrens where students, staff, alumni and visitors can come to learn and mentor each other. Each club member takes pride to polish their personalities and build their confidence.
Honorable members and guests are provided with an opportunity to create a positive mindset as future leaders. Toastmasters aims to provide members and guests a safe and friendly environment to enhance leadership qualities such as speaking, note taking and personal development. Each existing and new member brings new perspectives to the club which is the core value of Toastmasters At Torrens.
We, the Executive Officers and members, encourage you to visit your own university club at Torrens University!"
- Nayyer Mahmood Shah, President of Toastmasters Club

"Joining the Toastmasters Club at Torrens not only helped me gain confidence in public speaking but also helped me to develop my leadership skills.
Firstly, I have become more comfortable to express myself with different intonation, expressions and body language to get the message across, and to deliver my presentation in front of an audience effectively. As a result, I was the only student who received a High Distinction in Project Management Capstone Presentation in my trimester.
Secondly, Toastmasters also runs classes to help students develop their leadership skills and to know how to formally run a business meeting.
Joining Toastmasters@Torrens club can help students to improve both their presentation and leadership skills, which are the two most essential skills that all employers seek.
Therefore, I urge all students to join Toastmasters @ Torrens Club today to reap the benefits and maximize their potentials."
- Nguyen Xuan Ngoc Huynh, Vice-President of Toastmasters Club

"During my studies at Torrens University, Toastmasters helped me gain confidence in speaking English, and I improved my IELTS speaking score to 6.5. Toastmasters has helped me to be more confident while I pursue my passion for social justice.
The experience I gained at Toastmasters has helped me to share my knowledge as a lecturer, and given me the courage to mentor young students from my home country, Vietnam."
- Thi My Linh Le, Secretary of Toastmasters Club
"I attended three sessions during Success Week, namely Professional Branding, Grad Connection and the One-on-One Resume builder with David Choe. I thoroughly enjoyed all sessions, and found them very interesting and informative. It was an eye-opener for me as it made me realise the importance of creating my own professional brand, and how I can make LinkedIn and Facebook work for me.
The session on Grad Connection made me realise that if I want to get a job in my field of study with a reputable company, networking will give me the opportunity to connect with industry professionals."
- Andreea Leibov, MBA/MPM student

"Torrens University periodically organises Success Week where students are provided with a number of professional development seminars. I participated in the Grad Connection workshop. It is a platform and website to help students who have graduated find job opportunities that match their degree. The presenter, Zoey, was fantastic, and enthusiastic. I really appreciated how she went above and beyond. She was fabulous in explaining the content, giving us tips and highlighting the common mistakes to avoid as a graduate. The highlight of the session was information she shared about LinkedIn, and Emotional Intelligence. She shared personal moments of her career as examples which was honest and warm."
- Claudia De Luca, MBAA student
