Torrens University, Think Education and Media Design School are developing a policy that sets out how students can be involved in the decision-making activities about academic matters.
It’s really important to hear students’ voices in these types of decisions to make sure the courses, subjects, and overall learning experience on offer are relevant to all students and of the highest possible quality.
We kicked off the conversation in August and early September 2021 by asking students and staff for general input and feedback on a discussion document.
A summary of some of the main messages we have heard from people so far is now available.
We are now in the process of drafting a policy document which will go through the existing academic governance processes (which include some students!) to be approved.
We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the policy work here so you can see how your input is making a difference.
We have slowed down (but not completely stopped) our work on developing this policy as we head towards the end of the year.
We don’t want to rush it just for the sake of finishing it in 2021 and we want to give it lots of space to shine, so look out for more updates in early 2022.
If you have any questions or comments about this work we would love to hear from you.
